Our Story
Autism Welfare Trust
Autism Welfare Trust is a public trust established under the J&K Trust Act of 1920 in Kashmir. It was founded with the sole purpose of supporting children affected by Autism and other developmental disorders who lack access to the essential care and facilities needed for their growth and well-being.
Recognizing that Autism spans a wide spectrum—including internal, cognitive, behavioural, sensory, social, and environmental challenges—the Trust’s mission is to address all these dimensions through comprehensive and inclusive support.
The Trust works to improve the lives of affected children by providing access to therapy, education, and integration programs. It raises awareness about Autism and promotes global best practices in intervention and care through Autism schools, Early Intervention Clinics, and collaborations with government, private, and international institutions. As the first trust in Kashmir dedicated solely to Autism, it fills a critical gap in the region’s healthcare and education infrastructure.
